All CNC machines require accurate setup. If the work piece position is not accurately defined, quality is sacrificed. Work probes make machine set up a breeze. Easily and accurately find edges, corners, part centers, bore and boss locations, angles and more. Reduces human error in calculation positions and making angular adjustments.

Parts must be measured to ensure quality. Measuring parts in the machine is quick and accurate. If a work piece is out of tolerance rework can be performed automatically while the part is still clamped. During long production runs, tool offsets can be automatically adjusted to compensate for wear. Scrap and rework are greatly reduced, saving time and money.

The dual channel, bidirectional infrared receiver can simultaneously communicate with two probing systems, usually a work piece probe and tool setter. The large 100 degree receiving angle and 60 degree transmission angle ensure reliable communication.
